1. The sloe berries have been washed and pricked all over and are now soaking in sugar ready for the gin.
2. Homemade Leek and Stilton soup. Deliciously hearty on a dark and dreary day.

1. Fence surrounding the ruins of Hulton Abbey. My secondary school used to stand in the grounds but was demolished many years ago. Another piece of my childhood history vanished.
2. Orchid in my parents kitchen window.
3. Latest creation - brooch I made last week whilst staying with my parents.

My parents garden - I love it. Full of quirky touches, wind chimes, lots of wood carvings (one of my Dads many hobbies) and masses of pretty shrubs and flowers.
